Altar & Rosary Society

The St. Philip Neri Altar Society has been a part of our parish community for over 50 years. Our mission is to help our church based on the guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Our group of women gather monthly to conduct meetings the second Tuesday of each month at 1pm in Carvlin Hall between September and May. We discuss the importance of our church's needs and design
fundraisers to fulfill them. Whether we create themed baskets for raffles, host a community rummage sale for our neighborhood, or coordinate our most successful event, The Michael Allen Harrison Concert at Christmas time, we hope for financial success toward our 100 year old parish.

The Altar Society purchases linens, vestments, candles, communion hosts, wine, etc. In addition, we arrange weekly church cleaning and assist during funeral receptions.

The spirit of caring for the parish extends to other needs. The membership also donates to St Vincent de Paul, Meals on Wheels, and to the Snowman Foundation, funding music education to disadvantaged children. It also embraces the Bradley-Angle shelter, a place assisting survivors of domestic violence that gives them the support needed to restart their lives safely. The Altar Society contributes by purchasing items to assemble Welcome Bags of hygiene necessities for each incoming resident. At Christmas, they purchase Fred Meyer gift cards to distribute to the shelter residents.

If you are interested in joining the Altar and Rosary Society, and promoting the welfare of St. Philip Neri, please contact the Parish Office. All ages welcome and we look forward to meeting you!

Altar Society meets 2nd Tuesday of the month, 1:00 p.m. September through May (break in summer).
